Quote of the Day...

"YOU are the RIDE!
- Chris Bess, AV200 Incoming Junior Ride Director

Divider RuleKudos...

AV200 logo
...to all you CFARian Riders whose fund raising helped make it possible for AV200 to donate $260,000 to the Emory Vaccine Center this year for use in supporting research toward an HIV/AIDS vaccine. Hip, Hip, Hurrah! In Chris' words... YOU are the Ride!
Read more about it.

Sex Is The Question logo ... to Patrick Sullivan (PI), Travis Sanchez (Lead Scientist), and Craig Sineath (Project Coordinator) on the initiation of Sex is the Question.org. It's a floor wax ... NO, its a dessert topping!! Sex is the Question.org is not only the largest online research study of the sexual and health promotion behavior of gay and bisexual men ever attempted (n=25,000!), it is also an educational tool. When finished, each participant receives information comparing his responses to other respondents AND videos and interactive prevention information personalized for his response profile.
If you are 18 or over, a gay or bisexual man, and are going to take just one survey all year, this is the one you should take.

God danced the day you were born; Angels did the bump to Gabriel's horn,
God danced the day you were born .... So grateful for the gift of you!

... Wally Curran recently got news that the Winship Cancer Institute (WCI) application was rated "Outstanding" by NIH/NCI in WCI's successful bid for a five year renewal as a NCI-Designated Cancer Center. The award is $7.5M over 5 years. Which will certainly help fund the $20K a year that WCI has committed to the CFAR Developmental Core as matching funds for an AIDS malignancy-related CFAR03 award. Thank you Wally!!!
Read the article.

...The NIH is opening pathways for collaboration between intramural and extramural investigators who want to use the resources of the NIH Clinical Center. A new FOA will be published about that soon.
