Divider Rule Kudos ...
     Kate Winskell

... to Kate Winskell on scoring her first NIH R01!

Through her involvement in the Global Dialogues project, Kate has spent the last 18 years collecting data on how young people in five African countries make sense of HIV. Her R01 funding will allow Kate to analyze a sample of 2,681 narratives for evidence of how that understanding has evolved over time. (1R01HD085877-01).

Happy Birthday

... to Rana Chakraborty (September 22), Kate Winskell (September 23), and Erin-Joi Collins (September 24).

Picture in your head exactly what you want for your birthday this year .... What a coincidence, that's what we want for you too!

     Neel Weitzmann    Igho Ofotokun

Neale Weitzmann and Igho Ofotokun are Co-PIs on a new R01 (1R01AR068157-01A1) that is picking apart the inner workings of a really nasty perfect storm ... i.e. the way that HIV, normal aging, and ART work synergistically to accelerate bone loss and form the groundwork for a looming epidemic of fragility fractures among Baby Boomers with HIV.
Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones.

Divider Rule Government News...

Government News

No HIV/AIDS-related government news this week

In other government news: The federal government is now officially soliciting Yelp reviews. Seriously.

As they say on their blog, "Yelp is excited to announce that it has concluded a negotiated terms of service agreement with the federal government that will allow federal agencies and offices to claim their Yelp pages, read and respond to reviews, and incorporate that feedback into service improvements."
