Divider Rule Emory News...

Dear Faculty Colleagues,

I am writing to you as a colleague and partner in an exciting endeavor for Emory. Recently, you were sent an invitation to participate in a university-wide survey, the COACHE Survey of Faculty Job Satisfaction. This survey is designed to enhance Emory's understanding about our experience as a faculty member. You can find additional information and FAQs at this link.

Emory is committed to using this data to improve the workplace for faculty and will share the results in October 2020. The survey is only the first step in a three-year process designed to transform data into actionable policies and practices. COACHE will work with Emory to identify best practices for improving our weaknesses and leveraging our strengths.

The survey will collect feedback from faculty regarding such important topics as resources and support, collaboration, mentoring, tenure and promotion, institutional governance and leadership, engagement, work-life balance, climate, recognition, recruitment and retention, and overall satisfaction.

If you have already completed the survey, please accept our sincere thanks!! If you have not completed the survey, we hope you will do so as soon as possible. You will need to search for COACHE in your email to find your unique link to the survey.

I recently completed the survey within about 25 minutes. I hope you can find time to do this by April 7, 2020 so that your voice will be heard!!

Thank you,
Cindy Derdeyn
Professor and Interim Vice Chair for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
