Bulletin Board... teen SPARC Needs YOU
bulletin board
    Logo - teen SPARC

Researchers with the Coalition for Applied Modeling and Prevention (CAMP) have developed a tool with direct public health impact, and we're seeking feedback from public health department researchers and staff. We are hoping you can help!

The teen-SPARC Excel tool and website was designed to help predict the impact of behavior change among adolescents in the US on sexually transmitted infections.   In support of this tool, we have a recorded webinar (found here) to help users navigate the downloadable files (found here).

We are looking for additional feedback in order to make this tool as accessible, implementable, and user-friendly as possible.

The 'ask' is for you (or a willing colleague) to download and navigate the tool, with the assistance of the webinar (optional), and then complete the 5-minute survey (found here) designed to collect user feedback–successful applications, barriers to use, and additional features of interest.

Community Corner... National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day

Community Corner

February 7 is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD). This year's theme, "We're in This Together," promotes the importance of social support—from friends, family, colleagues, and partners—even when apart.

The CDC has content you can share to raise awareness of NBHAAD, help end HIV stigma, and increase testing, prevention, and treatment.

As part of the CDC's Let's Stop HIV Together campaign, the CDC would like to share its 2021 National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day Toolkit.

The NBHAAD toolkit includes new and ready-to-use social media posts and graphics for partners to share—leading up to and on NBHAAD, as well as throughout the year—so you can:
• Raise awareness on the impact of HIV in Black communities
• Promote messaging around reducing HIV stigma
• Engage your audiences to get tested, take action to prevent HIV, or get care and treatment

The toolkit includes posts in both English and Spanish. Take a look and please share widely with your partners, networks, and affiliates!

Join the Let's Stop HIV Together NBHAAD Partner Webinar on Thursday, January 28 from 2:00-3:00 PM (ET).

The webinar will cover strategies for delivering HIV services in the current context and highlight CDC resources to support your NBHAAD efforts. Register today!
